Rhythm Films joined forces with director Chris Martin and his vision for bringing Perth branded Street X to life for its 10th Anniversary.
The overarching theme of Chris's concept was that Street X is more than a clothing label. STX is a community and a brand that empowers and encourages a range of groups and subcultures in WA.
One of the main subcultures associated with Street X is combat sports. Bio videos are common in advertising but a lot of the time the brand feels dissociated with the story. Chris set about finding a true local fighter and then filmed him in stylised training situations. Telling a story about a local, Perth individual who is involved in a culture Street X is associated with became the foundation of this really strong piece of work.
